Wednesday    |    February 28, 2024

Arlington, Va. – Dominion National is celebrating National Children’s Dental Health Month by donating thousands of dental care kits to local clinics and health departments throughout the mid-Atlantic region. The kits, containing items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss and educational materials, aim to promote good oral hygiene practices among children.

Dominion, a leading dental and vision insurer and administrator, is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of oral health in the battle against childhood tooth decay. This is the twelfth consecutive year Dominion has donated dental kits.

Tooth decay is one of the most common chronic childhood diseases, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Left untreated, it can lead to serious complications affecting eating, speech and learning. Dominion’s goal is to empower children with the tools and knowledge needed to prevent cavities and maintain optimal oral health.

"At Dominion, we are committed to fostering healthier communities by championing causes that promote oral health awareness and provide essential support," said Dominion President Mike Davis. "Our team is honored to contribute to the well-being of children in the communities we serve through the donation of dental kits to various organizations."

Dominion's donations will benefit organizations across Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia reinforcing the company's mission to promote oral health education and preventive care initiatives among children.
